The British Red Cross released alarming research on World First Aid Day (8/9/18) which revealed that only 50% of adults in the UK would feel confident enough to help someone during a first aid emergency.

Basic first aid intervention whilst waiting for an ambulance to arrive can greatly reduce the chance of fatality but this research has found that many people would feel too worried to step in, in case they made the situation worse.

Many of us to do not worry about our first aid knowledge because we always think that someone else will be able to step in but as this research shows, there is only a 50/50 chance that someone has the ability and confidence to help in an emergency.

At Mattinson Training we teach a basic, unaccredited first aid course for just £25 per person. This course covers wounds and bleeding, managing a casualty in shock, managing an unresponsive casualty, the recovery position and CPR. The knowledge of these five skills means that you could step in and help someone in a first aid emergency and save a life.

Here at Mattinson Training our promise is peace of mind. We want all of our customers to leave their training feeling confident that they could use what they have learnt to help others.

Find all of our upcoming course dates on our Home Page, and if we are not running a course near you, or you cannot find the relevant course then please contact us and we will work to suit your needs.

Educate yourself so that you can help others.
